I’m a Digital Learning Advisor at The University of Sheffield working for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Having qualified as a school teacher many years ago and working in teacher training, adult and community learning and now higher education – I’m interested in how people learn and how we can use digital tools in the most effective way to teach.
I’m particularly interested in collaboration, assessment, language learning, reflective learning and ePortfolios.
I’m also interested in the way we support colleagues – I’m not a huge fan of ‘click the button’ sessions – being more interested in ongoing skill /pedagogy development.
In my spare time I write fiction, play bass, run and enjoy wildlife gardening.
All views expressed, however crazy, in this blog are entirely my own.
